DRAMATURGY

No Pants in Tucson

Developmental and Production dramaturg for the Anthropologists comedic, rebellious performance exposing the outrageous laws seeking to restrict and control what women could wear in the 19th, 20th and even 21st centuries. Using rigorous historical citation and bold movement, No Pants in Tucson shines a light on the people and movements forgotten to history but shape how we move through the world today. This performance traces a direct linage from the anti-masquerade laws of the 19th century to anti-abortion and transphobic laws today.

No Pants in Tucson brings increasingly unrestrained humor and sparkle to its subject without in any way diminishing that subject’s history of widespread cruelties and individual courage—a potent, tremendously entertaining mixture.

Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!

Assistant dramaturg for Bill Rauch’s 2018 production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s groundbreaking 1943 musical. The 75th-Anniversary production broke new ground with same-sex lead couples and other LGBTQ2+ casting in a delightful, insightful celebration of love in its many forms.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s beloved musical “Oklahoma!” is a beautifully realized experience that dazzles from start to finish.
